Most beginner courses start from age 8. The SSI Try Scuba and PADI Bubblemaker are available from age 8, while Open Water certification starts from age 10 (Junior) or 15 (full certification).
The SSI or PADI Open Water Diver course takes 2 to 3 days including eLearning, confined water training, and 4 open water dives.
Yes. The SSI Try Scuba and PADI Discover Scuba Diving programs let you experience scuba in open water for just $70 USD in about half a day — no certification required.
