Treat the pier as an overhead and entanglement environment. Avoid enclosed areas and debris, and do not dive during unsafe current, surge or vessel operations.
Use a macro lens, focus light and patient search pattern. Keep fins elevated over sand or rubble, approach subjects slowly and never touch, reposition or crowd marine life. Night photographers should agree light and buddy signals before entry.
Frogfish Point is a macro, sandy slope, coral bommies dive in East or northeast Gili Air, with a working depth range of approximately 8–22 m.
